Violent conflicts have an awful effect on children. To be a witness or a victim of a war means that you will always remember the cadres, violence and massacres. Children have difficulties to forget the facts seen in the war and suffer from it.
I can say it from my personal experience as I am refugee from Chechnya and I have witnessed the first war between Russia and Chechnya in 1994. In this war I was so close to the murders and I saw such terrible scenes that for years I have been in constant fear.
Because of all such effects, children should be protected from war activities and everyone must take responsibility for it. What might be effects on a child who has witnessed, or has been a victim of a violent conflict?
Some people are insensible about issues that do not affect them directly. It is one of the reasons why children must be protected from war activities.
